Ruth Jensen is a danish
artist in the professional scenery since the 1989. Jensen
makes the pictorial matter, the sign and the colour as
foundation of her paintings: nature, with its abstracted
fruits and landscapes is the pretext of a painture that
forgets, during the artistic process, the initial subject
in the cromatic impetus and in the emotion of light
exalting the subjects. Ruth reverses into her personally
interpreted nature, a perceptive and perceptible structure,
almost an existential relation between nature and life,
not a rational connection but a total immersion and an
overpowering emotional involment.
They are paintings free
from any mediocre naturalistic residues even though almost
intense softness remains suffused in the evocative rhythm
of the light and colour effects, realizing that
naturalistic abstraction the artist very often achieves.
For her natural
inclination, Jensen prefers the oil painting but she also
loves experimenting herself with the acrylic, the
watercolour and the various materials added to her
canvases. Ruth created her artistic heritage of rules and
experiences thanks to her studies with talented masters
like Grethe Bagge and Jan Hartmann Mogensen but followed
by contiuous updatings and personal widenings.
It´s impossible
descibing through an unique detailed term Ruth Jensen
artworks; they are paintings of powerful visual impact
which can´t be defined neither figurative nor abstract
and even less narrative but they rather are mystic and
symbolic results of impulses and travels of a dreamy mind
but also of a sensitive mind to the known natural
sceneries seen and at their fructs organized by Ruth on
the canvases, with great refinement and delicacy.
